As one of the largest claims adjusting and litigation administration firms based in Florida, BSA Claims has opportunities for highly skilled, critical thinkers to use their legal background to resolve litigated claims and/or innovative, smart field claim adjusters to use thier advanced Xactimate and adjusting skills to settle claims quickly and fairly.
This key role will analyze and investigate litigated personal lines and homeowner claims for both first- and third-party including property, liability and casualty. Exercising independent judgement to review, investigate, evaluate negotiate toward resolution of litigated claims is required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: BSA Claims Service’s Litigation Specialists evaluate legal liability and pursue, negotiate, and resolve litigated insurance claims. The position is responsible for the providing professional insurance adjusting services relating to pre-suit mediation, pre-suit appraisal, and litigated claims. Model candidates will possess knowledge of insurance coverage, insurance law, DOI regulations, structural estimates, repair costs, and homeowners’ concepts. Position will direct file handling of litigation pre-suit adjustment and litigation; pre-suit adjustment and litigation; field task assignments for investigation of third-party liability claims; assignment to strategic litigation-related discovery, metrics and reporting projects as business needs require.

i. a minimum of one (1) year claims experience; or,
ii. a minimum of one (1) insurance claims litigation experience; or,

This position requires the ability to sit, hear, converse over the telephone and key frequently on a computer for long periods of time (4 or more hours per day). This position may require occasional overnight travel and may be required to work for extended periods of time to include after standard business hours in addition to weekends and holidays as needed.

BSA Claims Service is accepting adjusters for its 2020 Hurricane Season roster. We are seeking CAT field adjusters for Florida, Louisiana and North Carolina with three years of adjuster experience and proficiency in Xactimate.

BSA was recently awarded a contract with Louisiana Citizens to manage CAT residential and commercial field claims. Applicants MUST have a Louisiana Adjusting License and LA CPIC certification.

NOTE: Adjusters who received a LA Citizens certification before May 1, 2020 are required to take the revised 2020 version, good for two years. Completion of license and certification is required for eligibility for any deployment opportunities
